The National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA), the national organization advocating for state housing finance agencies, announced that their next board chair will be Minnesota Housing Commissioner, Jennifer Ho.

NCSHA is governed by a volunteer board of directors. Board members are elected every year by executive directors of member agencies.

“I’m honored to have this opportunity to work alongside these dedicated leaders to address the unique housing needs of our states,” said Ho. Ho served as vice chair in 2024.

Another important part of the conference is the Annual Awards for Program Excellence, which honor state housing finance agencies for their outstanding programs and practices.

Minnesota Housing was honored to receive the 2024 Integrated Communications Campaign award for HomeHelpMN: Reaching Those Most Impacted.

The HomeHelpMN campaign paired a robust marketing plan with community-based outreach led by those in historically excluded communities most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This year’s award recipients epitomize the ingenuity and effectiveness state housing finance agencies are bringing every day to reduce housing costs, spur new housing supply, and deliver solutions to the most vulnerable people and places,” said NCSHA executive director, Stockton Williams.

The National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) is a national nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that that was created by the nation’s state housing finance agencies to advance, through advocacy and education, their efforts to provide affordable housing to those who need it.
